If haven’t already heard, the World Cup begins today! As BeRuby is available in 9, yes, 9 different countries, it’s an interesting time for us in the office.

Germany, Brazil, France, the UK, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Spain and of course the United States are all competing for the grand championship with lots of might and determination. While we all can’t be with the crowds and the teams in Johannesburg, BeRuby is ready to join in the excitement with our World Cup Invite-a-Friend promotion.

Here’s how it works:

First, we’ll start off by giving you £0.05 for every friend you invite to BeRuby, otherwise known as a referral. Depending on how the England does, we’ll up the amount. So, get on your patriotic gear and, and hopefully you’ll have a little extra money in your pocket! Naturally, the more people you invite to BeRuby, the more money you will make.

Especially, if we can get past the first round!

Here’s a break down of the rounds and how they will be “priced”

Dates:

This promotion starts 11 June, and will include any referrals you have through 11 July, 2010. Hopefully, it will be a month full of “gooooooooal!”! for the  English team and for your BeRuby account.

Terms & Conditions:

• A minimum of £0.05 will be given for every new user you bring to BeRuby United Kingdom. You may be living outside of the UK, but the friends you bring to BeRuby must reside in the UK to count for £0.05
• Promotion valid through 11 July 2010.
• You can only earn credit for one new friend per IP address.
• No double/multiple accounts may be created. We can track fraudulent accounts, so please do not risk losing your original account.
• The invited person must register themselves and confirm the account.
• Any earnings will be added to your account in after the promotion has ended and we have a final count.

Do you have friends in Germany? Your brother is studying in Paris? Do not forget all this as it is important to expand your network in other countries.

And remember, as BeRuby user can also register in all countries but do not live in them.

How do I invite my friends to BeRuby?

If you want to take part in the 10p for each friend you bring to BeRuby promotion, but you don’t know how to invite your friends, here’s a quick guide.

Now, you can choose from two options.

First, you can write an invitation email from your own email box and simply copy and paste your special link (this lets us know that you invited the new member) into the email.

Secondly, you can put your friend’s email addresses into the blank box and then send our default invitation message (you may edit this message if you’d like), then press the send button. Don’t worry, we don’t store these email addesses anywhere and we promise not to send them any other mail!

Once your friends have registered and confirmed their account (and they meet the necessary requirements of the promotion) you will be in line for your 10p. Remember, all payments for this promotion will be given in early March, after we have the grand totals.

How do I invite my friends?

Use the handy Invite tab found on your BeRuby account.  Simply enter your friend’s email addresses (separate them with a comma please!) in the space provided. You can use the default message provided, or erase it and write your own.

What else do I get?

Besides sharing the benefits of BeRuby with your friends and earning £5, you will also earn commissions from their activity with BeRuby.

Here’s an example. Let’s say your friend Jane purchases a plane ticket. If she earns a commission of £6.00, you will earn half, £3.00.
